The Szetyńscy Horticultural Farm is a family farm that has been run for over 20 years.The subject of our activity is primarily the production of plants for further resale.
For over 20 years, we have gained the necessary experience that has allowed us to improve the growth and care processes of the plants we grow. For many years we have been engaged in the production of
ornamental plants, bedding plants, deciduous shrubs and in small quantities we propagated utility shrubs such as highbush blueberry, cranberry, chokeberry, raspberry, large-fruited blackberry
and we produced strawberry seedlings.
On our farm you can find almost 20 varieties of highbush blueberry, very often called American blueberry, which constitutes a large part of our
Crop. The remaining place is occupied by the production of haskap berry seedlings, also in many varieties, cranberries, goji berries.

Plants are propagated from herbaceous cuttings - vegetatively and served for sale in M91 multiplates (multi-pots -
material for further production), P9 (0.5l), P11 (1l) pots and C-1.5 litre containers.

Blueberry
Blueberry(Vaccinium corymbosum L.) is a species of the heather family (Ericaceae). It has strong shoots branching in the top parts and flowers gathered in clusters. It blooms from April to May, is pollinated by bumblebees and bees. Blueberry bushes grow up to 2.5 meters in height, it depends on the variety.
Blueberry fruits ripen from the first decade of July to September, and late varieties even until October. They are characterized by a very good, sweet taste and have high nutritional values - they are rich in sugars, mineral acids, mineral salts, pectins and vitamins. They are suitable for consumption as a dessert fruit and for preserves. Blueberry bushes have a very well-developed, but shallow root system, which spreads more in width than into the soil.
On plantations, blueberry seedlings have high soil requirements. They require acidic soil, preferably with a pH of 3.5 - 4.5 or max. to 5.00 . We recommend soils made of acidic peat, permeable, well draining water and with low salinity. Irrigation is necessary on light soils. Blueberry is a frost-resistant plant, some northern varieties can withstand frosts as low as -30°C.
Kamchatka berry
Haskap berry(Lonicera caerulea L.) is a variety of blue honeysuckle, originating from the family Cetaceae. Its most popular name is haskap berry, but the correct name of this plant should be honeysuckle. The haskap berry bush reaches a height of up to 2 meters and is a long-lived plant. It blooms in the first half of April, and its fruits are oblong, sweet and sour, purple drupes, resembling elongated blueberries. The haskap berry is a frost-resistant shrub, so it can grow in regions with a harsh climate. Its shoots can withstand frosts down to -45° C, and its flowers and fruits can withstand spring frosts down to -8° C. Haskap berry bushes bear fruit in the first year after planting. The fruits appear from May to June. The plants are long-lived, they can be grown in the same place for many years. In addition, they are resistant to diseases and rarely attacked by pests. There is also another reason why haskap berries are appearing more and more often on plantations. The price of fruit is high enough to ensure the profitability of the crop.
Haskap berry bushes grow and bear fruit best in sunny and wind-sheltered positions. The species is open-pollinated, so it requires cross-pollination. In early spring, it attracts bumblebees and bees. Haskap berry seedlings prefer fertile, sandy loam but not heavy soils, with a slightly acidic to alkaline pH. The plant likes moisture, but spring flooding has a negative effect on its development.
Raspberry Delniwa
Raspberry of the Delniwa varietywas born in Poland, or more precisely it was bred by Dr. Agnieszka Orzeł in the company Niwa Hodowla Roślin Jagodowych in Brzeźna, and is highly valued by both growers and gourmets. This red, dessert new variety of raspberry has many advantages, and its popularity is growing rapidly – we can find it both on large plantations and in home gardens. Raspberry Delniwa is a variety that bears fruit on one-year-old shoots and repeats fruiting. Its shoots grow moderately, reaching about 150 centimeters in height, and its dark green leaves fall off for the winter. The flowers of this variety, which appear in June, are melliferous, medium-sized and creamy in color. The first fruits ripen at the end of July – Delniwa bears fruit abundantly, giving up to a kilogram of raspberries from one shoot, and raspberries can be found on the bushes as early as the beginning of October.
Loch Ness Blackberry
Loch Ness BlackberryIt is a frost-resistant variety with very large, tasty fruits, ripening from the end of July until the first frost. It is characterized by high yield and high fruit quality, it stores well. After harvesting, cut out two-year-old shoots that bore fruit, leaving 5-7 one-year shoots. Blackberry bushes need supports. An exceptionally fertile variety, it is perfect for desserts, frozen foods, naps, juices, liqueurs and wines. Fruits regulate metabolism, have bactericidal, antibiotic and cleansing properties. They increase the body's immunity due to the high content of vitamins A, B and C, as well as magnesium, potassium and calcium.
